The Mauryan Dynasty

The Mauryan Empire (322–185 BCE) was one of the largest and most powerful empires in ancient India. Founded by Chandragupta Maurya with the guidance of the legendary strategist Chanakya, it marked the first political unification of the Indian subcontinent.

At its zenith under Emperor Ashoka, the empire stretched from the Hindu Kush mountains in the west to the Bengal region in the east, encompassing nearly all of the Indian subcontinent.
